Their Heart is Divided: The 2nd American Civil War

Prior to reading this article, this author recommends reading Hosea 10 thoroughly first and then returning for the commentary because this commentary is not going to start with verse 1 but rather verse 9:

Hosea 10: 9 O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them. [10] It is in my desire that I should chastise them; and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall bind themselves in their two furrows.

Gibeah mean ‘Hill’ and was located in the territory of Benjamin. This is the location where the concubine of the Levite was raped to death by Benjamites (Judges 19-21). Upon hearing of this atrocity, all of Israel from Dan to Beersheba rose up against Benjamin and almost thoroughly destroyed the Tribe of Benjamin. This event is the first documented civil war in Israel, and from these days, Israel sinned.

The modern equivalent of these days, are the days of the American Civil War. In the ancient drama we see a master and his concubine: concubines were higher than slaves but lower than wives, but were indeed still slaves to their masters. They were not free women. Abuse is perpetrated on the slave, which initiates the tribes of Israel to rise up.

In 1856 on Capital Hill, Charles Sumner an antislavery senator from Massachusetts gave a long two-day speech regarding whether the state of Kansas ought to be a slave state or free. In the speech, he defamed and assassinated the characters of two pro-slavery senators from South Carolina Stephen Douglas and Andrew Butler.

Andrew Butler was not present for the speech, as he was still convalescing from a stroke. However Representative Preston Brooks, who was cousin of Butler, was present.

Long story short, Brooks confronted Sumner regarding the speech in the Senate Chamber of congress. With cane in hand, he bludgeoned Sumner for a minute: strike after strike after strike on the head. Those who would might have stopped it were met with a pistol from another congressman who told them to leave things be.

After sufficiently breaking his cane and severely wounding Sumner, Brooks left the chamber. Sumner was carried off and treated by a doctor. He was given stitches, but had suffered a traumatic brain injury. It would take three years before he was recovered enough to return to the senate, but would suffer chronic pain; severe headaches, nightmares and debilitation for the rest of his life. A prominent Parisian physical diagnosed him with spinal cord damage. Aside from a T.B.I., he also developed PTSD from the incident.

Brooks died only 8 months later of croup. The official telegram announcing his death stated “He died a horrid death, and suffered intensely. He endeavored to tear his own throat open to get breath.”

After the incident, the Cincinnati Gazette said, “The South cannot tolerate free speech anywhere, and would stifle it in Washington with the bludgeon and the bowie-knife, as they are now trying to stifle it in Kansas by massacre, rapine, and murder.”;

William Cullen Bryant of the New York Evening Post, asked, “Has it come to this, that we must speak with bated breath in the presence of our Southern masters? . . . Are we to be chastised as they chastise their slaves? Are we too, slaves, slaves for life, a target for their brutal blows, when we do not comport ourselves to please them?”

And, Ralph Waldo Emerson remarked, “I do not see how a barbarous community and a civilized community can constitute one state. I think we must get rid of slavery, or we must get rid of freedom.”

It is interesting that a violent man who opposed Sumner’s right to freedom of speech should die from a virus or bacterium, most often caused by diphtheria, which causes swelling of the trachea and larynx resulting in respiratory failure.

While Sumner spent three years recuperating, his seat in congress was left empty as a symbol of freedom of speech.

In Hosea 10:9-10, Israel’s sins started in Gibeah, Capital Hill. It was the Lord’s desire to chastise them and to gather them into two furrows; two divisions; two sides: north vs. south, anti-slavery vs. pro-slavery, democratic vs. republican, liberal vs. conservative.

America is on the verge of another civil war: democrat vs. republican; left vs. right; communism vs. capitalism; globalism vs. populism; Trump vs. Biden. Will our sin begin at Capital Hill as it did during the times of Ancient Israel or in 1856?

Texas has called for secession without actually saying secession. On January 6th when the electoral votes are counted in congress, members will be able to lodge complaints at this time. They are only given five minutes and a maximum of two hours for the chamber, but, in light of this hotly contested election, could this event turn nasty? Allies of Donald Trump are already preparing their objections.

The civil war, one could say, started with the bludgeoning of Charles Sumner. Who’s to say January 6th may not turn violent?

But continuing: Among one of the issues is Freedom of Speech. The Main Stream Media and Social Media Platforms are suppressing voices of the opposition and controlling what is truth and what isn’t. They are one-sided and bias and by their lies, they de-legitimize the election fraud as “baseless”.

With an army of trolls, their supporters take to social media to make disparaging comments, insults, and threats towards Trump supporters, who are not so much supportive of Trump as they are the freedom of speech, freedom of commerce, low taxes and so on.

Hosea 10:1 Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images. [2] Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images. [3] For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the Lord; what then should a king do to us?[4] They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.

This remark: We have no king, may simply be a rejection of the king; i.e #notmypresident. Whether that’s Trump or Biden; individuals and/or states may reject the inaugurated president.

Though this author expects the 2020 America election will be messier than we can imagine. If the election fraud is not resolved, the matter could be taken to the House of Representatives where they will vote for the president. However, if the House of Representatives is obstinate and refuses to vote, the matter will go to the Senate, where they will vote to elect the vice-president. In theory, America could have a vice-presidential pick, and no president until the legalities of the election are determined.

The Supreme Court refusing to hear election fraud cases, are green lighting a civil war. As mentioned in the article ‘Jehu’, the ancient and honorable will be cut off. We could see the results of this election come in the form of the deaths of many dignitaries. The author has personally noticed that, although we are at a breaking point, nothing every happens as fast as we expect it to and so we may see the secession or attempted secession of states from the Union before someone pulls the trigger.

‘Because we feared not the Lord’; ‘what shall a king do for us?’; ‘by swearing falsely and making a covenant, judgment springs up (as hemlock) in the furrows’.

The election fraud and the deceptive stories published by the main stream media may be the incidents of swearing falsely. Because of this, swearing falsely, judgment springs up as hemlock. Hemlock is a highly poisonous plant; a bitter plant. Judgment will come bitterly, and every man will be in furrow. In his trench; in his division, having chosen his side and trapped by it.

Hosea 13:9 O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help. [10] I will be thy king: where is any other that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes? [11] I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.

Isn’t this exactly what Americans have done? We went to the judges; to the Supreme Court of the United States asking them to overturn the election. We sought for the judges to give us a king, not recognizing that God is our King.

1 Samuel 8:7 “And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.”

And if these verses are pertinent for this day in age then God shall give us a king in his anger and shall take him away in wrath. But what provokes God to anger? Our desire for a king, or the corruption that exists that required us to ask for a king?

[5] The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Bethaven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it. [6] It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.

The inhabitants of Samaria a.k.a Washington D.C. will fear because of the calves/the wealth of Beth-Aven/NYC Financial Centers. The people will mourn over the prosperity because it is gone, and that wealth and prosperity will be given over to Assyria, modern day Austria-Germany.

As this author has made mention before, we will see Germany rise to power in 2021/2022. For, “Tyre will be forgotten seventy years, the years of one king. At the end of seventy years it will happen to Tyre as in the song of the harlot: Take a harp, go about the city you forgotten harlot. Make sweet melody, sing many songs that you may be remembered. And it shall be at the end of seventy years, that the Lord will deal with Tyre. She will return to her HIRE, and commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth. Her GAIN and her PAY will be set apart for the Lord; it will not be treasured nor laid up, for her gain will be for those who dwell before the Lord, to eat sufficiently, and for fine clothing.” – Isaiah 23:15-18

“Let your hand be strong you who have been hearing in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, who spoke in the day the foundation was laid for the house of the Lord of hosts, that the temple might be built. FOR BEFORE THOSE DAYS THERE WERE NO WAGES FOR MAN NOR ANY HIRE FOR BEAST; there was NO PEACE from the enemy for whoever went out or came in. For I set all men, everyone, against his neighbor.” – Zechariah 8:9-10

Zechariah 11:6 “For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour’s hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.”

Interestingly, In Zechariah 8, all men are set against their neighbor, but in Zechariah 11 all men are delivered into their neighbors hand and the hand of the king. Being set against and being delivered are different things.

We are set against each other now, but we have not been delivered into each other hands. Delivered as in, arrest or death. But notice they, the inhabitants, will SMITE THE LAND. Smite in the Hebrew is ‘kathath’ meaning the to beat; break in pieces; crush; shatter; smash; strike.

If the land were to be broken in pieces, is this prophesying secession? We have no king and as for a king what would he do for us? Whether Biden or Trump gets into office, secession looks inevitable. The Union can not survive when there are two starkly different ideologies of governing.

Hosea 10:7 As for Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the water. [8] The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.

Compare to Revelation 6:15-17.

Who is the King of Israel? Is it Donald Trump; being the fighter that he is, he doesn’t sound like a king who could easily be broken upon the waters. But the ‘cut off’ doesn’t necessarily mean to be destroyed, perish, or killed; it can mean ‘to be silenced’. Which Twitter and other main stream media outlets have been doing.

The high places of Aven, the sin of Israel, will be destroyed. Thorns and thistles will come up on the altars. Thorough desolation and the lack of human occupation of an area is required for thorns and thistles to sprout.

We see now (Beth)-Aven, a.k.a New York City turning to desolation. “Brooklyn U.S. District Judge Brian M. Cogan said safety restrictions and guidelines may even “turn New York City into a very different, even desolate, place compared to how it was before the pandemic.”

[12] Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. [13] Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men. [14] Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Betharbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children. [15] So shall Bethel do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.

Much speculation could be made of the end of verse 14, but at the moment we don’t know if the King is Donald Trump or if it’s Biden (or Harris). But what we do know is that a tumult shall arise among the people, as we are seeing now; fortresses shall be spoiled. And all this Bethel will do for our great wickedness, because we trusted in our ways and in the multitude of our mighty men.

Hosea 8:1 Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law. [2] Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee. [3] Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him. [4] They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off. [5] Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency? [6] For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.

The parallels that we see in Zechariah 8:9-10; Hosea 8; Hosea 10, involve two things in particular: ECONOMIC DESTRUCTION and CIVIL WAR.

  • No hire for man nor beast [Zechariah 8:10];
  • Every man is against his brother [Zechariah 8:10];
  • Samaria shall shriek for the calves of Beth Aven [Hosea 10:5];
  • Their hearts are divided [Hosea 10:2];
  • The calf shall be broken in pieces [Hosea 8:6];
  • They set up kings, but not by God (Stolen election?) [Hosea 8:4]

The civil war may be the trigger that brings down the global economy or the economic collapse may be the trigger for civil war. As Gerald Celente says, “When people have nothing left to lose, they lose it.” And the devastated economy will bring about famine. Either way the economic destruction and the civil war come on the heels of each other.

Isaiah 9:19 Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother. [20] And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:

Haggai 1:5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. [6] Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; [FAMINE] ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; [POVERTY] and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. [HYPERINFLATION] [7] Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. [8] Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD. [9] Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house. [10] Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit. [11] And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.

Why are these things coming upon America?

  • We feared not the Lord [Hosea 10:3]
  • We’ve spoken words, swearing falsely [Hosea 10:4]
  • We plowed wickedness and now reap iniquity [Hosea 10:13]
  • We have eaten lies; we preferred lies over truth [Hosea 10:13]
  • We have trusted in our own ways and not in God [Hosea 10:13]
  • We trusted in our mighty men and not in God [Hosea 10:13]
  • We have transgressed the covenant [Hosea 8:1]
  • We have trespassed the law of God [Hosea 8:1]
  • We’ve rejected the good [Hosea 8:3]
  • We’ve set up kings, but not by God [Hosea 8:4]
  • We’ve turned our silver and gold into idols [Hosea 8:4]
  • For the people do not turn to Him who strikes them [Isaiah 9:13]
  • Nor do they seek the Lord of hosts [Isaiah 9:13]
  • Everyone is a hypocrite [Isaiah 9:17]
  • An evildoer [Isaiah 9:17]
  • Every mouth speaks folly [Isaiah 9:17]
  • Because the House of the Lord lies waste [Haggai 1:9]

Read what the Lord says:

Isaiah 8:11 For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, [12] Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. [13] Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. [14] And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. [15] And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. [16] Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. [17] And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. [18] Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. [19] And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? [20] To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. [21] And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward. [22] And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.

Amos 5:20 Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Zephaniah 1:15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

Do not become emotionally invested in the cause of the right or the left. As citizens of America, it can be difficult not to be frustrated by current politics or to muse over what we could do to ‘stop the steal’. Or mull over how to bring justice back into politics or complain to local representatives.

It is good to want justice, and righteous anger is not sin, but vengeance is mine saith the Lord.

God has set his heart upon destroying America, but that does not mean you, as individual, will be destroyed. Let God be your fear and let him be your dread. God is your king and He rules in the kingdoms of men. And as the ancient heathen proverb goes: “Those whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad.”

Keep the law; obey the Lord; wait on Him; seek Him; keep oneself unspotted from the world and put no hope in man. America, as a nation, is done. We will go through the worst time in human history, but when the times of crises are over and the Great Tribulation ended and Jesus Christ returned, it will be America that will once again have its place in the world as a ‘super-power’. It will truly be the light upon the hill. Christ will be our king; there will be justice; the Holy Spirit will pour out onto all men, and we will have peace. We will have utopia. We will be at one with God and at one with each other. And this is the hope we have to live for.

To fight for the preservation of this governmental system of America is to fight against the Kingdom of God, and you will die in vain as an enemy of God.

“Your kingdom come; your will be done.”

Repent; prepare. The kingdom of the Lord is at hand.
